You don’t have to have everything figured out, you just need a safe place to begin.
Reaching out for counseling can feel vulnerable, especially when you are used to handling things on your own. My goal is to make that first step feel a little easier by offering a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
For more than 20 years, I have supported children, adolescents, young adults, and families in educational settings. That experience has given me a genuine understanding of how anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, family stress, and major life transitions can affect not only one person, but everyone who cares about them.
Now in private practice, I continue to do the work I value most: helping people better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and find practical ways forward. My style is warm, honest, and collaborative. I want you to feel heard and supported while also gaining tools you can use beyond the therapy room.
I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, family conflict, trauma, and social-emotional challenges. Because every person and situation is different, I tailor counseling to meet your individual needs. My approach draws from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I also enjoy working with couples who want to communicate more effectively, rebuild trust, work through hurt, or feel close again. Couples often come to counseling feeling stuck in the same arguments or unsure how to reach one another. Together, we work to better understand those patterns, create emotional safety, and develop healthier ways of connecting.
Whether you are a teen trying to find your voice, an adult navigating change, a parent concerned about your child, or a couple hoping to reconnect, you do not have to work through it alone. Therapy is not about having all the answers or becoming a “perfect” version of yourself. It is about feeling understood, discovering what you need, and taking meaningful steps toward the life and relationships you want.
If you are looking for a therapist who offers clinical experience along with genuine care, honesty, and a down-to-earth approach, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
